this one has got a few inspirations/history behind it.
again, it represents ‘my favourite’ glasgow rain but this time i folded an umbrella using an upcycled glasgow common wealth ’14 brochure.
on my last visit to my home – tokyo – i found my old book which i bought with my pocket money at a local bookshop. surprise, surprise, that was an easy origami book for children – i was only 10 years old. who would have thought this wee girl in japan would set up a small origami business in scotland 20 years later!
with no doubts, i took this book back with me in glasgow and started venturing out to the new folds – one of them was this kasa. (umbrella)
just a wee card can represent all sorts of nostalgia.
